During the expedition we could collect for the second time various water and sediment samples for noble-gas analysis in the region of the Nankai Trough using the ROV <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamstec.go.jp\/e\/about\/equipment\/ships\/hyperdolphin.html\">Hyper-Dolphin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tomonaga.ch\/nogos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_0501.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-192 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/tomonaga.ch\/nogos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_0501-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0501\" width=\"474\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomonaga.ch\/nogos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_0501-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tomonaga.ch\/nogos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_0501-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tomonaga.ch\/nogos\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_0501.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the weather conditions were almost perfect, we could disembark at the port of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shimonoseki\">Shimonoseki<\/a> on April 29th 2014 (i.e., one day earlier than expected).
